It is to some extent is subjective and is partially objective comprising the following four papers:

Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting. ( 3 hours - 100 Marks)
Section A: Business Laws (60 Marks)
Section B: Business Correspondence and Reporting (40 Marks)
Part – I: Communication
Part – II: Sentence Types and Word Power
Part – III: Comprehension Passages and Note Making
Part – IV: Developing Writing Skills
Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & statistics. (2 Hours, 100 Marks)
Section A: Business Mathematics (40 Marks)
Section B: Logical Reasoning (20 Marks)
Section C: Statistics (40 Marks)
Business Environment & Business and Commercial Knowledge. (2 Hours, 100 Marks)
Section A: Business Economics (60 Marks)
Section B: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)
Along with these, the students are supposed to keep an update of the current global and national Financial and Business news. The former two papers are subjective while the latter two are objective. Each paper is worth 100 marks making a total of 400 marks. For a student to pass, he has to score a minimum of 50% or 200 marks in aggregate and 40% marks individually.
The students must register for CA Foundation Course by filling up the online registration form available on the ICAI website. Registration under the CA Foundation course is legitimate for three years. Students are required to register in the Board of Studies (BoS). They are needed to submit their application form without errors before the expiration period.

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced CA Foundation timetable for 2021. Students are advised to prepare for their exams keeping the CA foundation date sheet in mind. Before sharing the dates let’s have an overview of CA Foundation Exams.

In Paper 3 and 4 of the Foundation Examination there will not be any pre-reading time, whereas, in all other papers/exams mentioned above, an advance reading time of 15 minutes shall be given.

Steps Involved in the CA Foundation Course
To clear the CA Foundation candidates have to go through the following steps;-
Pass 12th from a recognized board and then register with the Board of Studies (BoS). Registration is to be done before the last dates.
Finish the four-month study period allotted for CA Foundation preparation. Studying thoroughly with strong determination is a must to have during this period.
Apply for CA Foundation as per the schedule states.
Appear for the Foundation examination in November/ May, according to the students’ capabilities.
Qualify Foundation Course.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to appear in the CA foundation exams;
Students must have cleared or appeared this year in Class 12 or any other equivalent examination carried out by a recognized board.
Must have registered for the CA Foundation as well as Board of Studies as per the schedule.
After the registration candidate has to go through a minimum of 4 months of study period before appearing for the exam.
